OUTDOOR RECREATION
The John Day River is the
longest un-dammed river in the continental U.S. and the single Pacific Northwest
river with only indigenous salmon (according to NW Power & Conservation
Council). The John Day is renowned for its superb bass fishing, rafting that
includes Class V rapids, and scenic beauty. The river has received Congressional
